Receiver Antenna Wire

I have seen the use of short pieces of plastic straws used to straighten the antenna from curling on spectrum receivers. Is this a good idea?

Mine balanced with a G26 on 1 1/4" standoffs without adding any weight. I have an extra servo in the tail controlling the tail wheel.

Thanks for the reply Andy. I used it on several Jerrys Big Boys and never had a problem. Maybe because of the low wing loading.

DX8 Flap Question

Prior to purhcasing a DX8 I have been using the DX7. It was able to retract the flaps using a set throttle setting. This feature seems to be missing on the 8 or am I missing something.
