I used locktite on my starter bolt as well. Are you refrering to the starter adapter? When using the adapter, you need to remove the cup and cup holder on your starter and mount the adapter...

Congratulations on your flight! Looks like the stock muffler is a bit of a weak link. I picked up a replacement OS muffler for my 90. What was your final weight?
