his throttle curve is 100/50/100. pitch is 0/50/100

Sounds to me as if he has NO negative pitch setup at all or VERY little. Check your blade pitch in stunt 1 and 2 and read the pitch at low...

if your past the learning to hover stage. ditch the woodies. i'd suggest just replacing them, but then again every set of woodies i've had the covering come off on (normally starts at the tip). So...

yea.. only problem is.. i've got the servo's to swap into it. its just they are hitecs and that requires servo horn swaps.. Well, now i'll have to swap ball links over and do the setup alllll over...
