All I know is that TH engines were the first ones available from Tower. The GMS engines came into existance after they (Tower) sold TH engines for years. Now GMS may manufacture them, I don't know...

Correction----

The TH engines are made from the "old" supertigre cast, not OS...


Also, O.S. engines are made in Japan and not Taiwan.....

Come on guys lets get real.. Every engine discussed in this thread is made in China.. When you are talking about GMS/TH they are all copies of the old Supertigre engine.. Who cares about who...

All I have to say in response is that I've run over 7 gallons of fuel through my .46 TH and can wax anyone with an equivalent engine at my field.

I also have a full 4 year warranty to replace...

The Tower engines are the same as GMS from what I hear.. All of mine were the same way. It's the ABC construction and it's fine. You can expect it since it's new. After you break it in real good...

I have 4 Tower Hobbies .46 engines and they all run great... The first one had issues with inverted flight and transition problems, but I sent it in and they sent me a new one within...
