RE: Zagi - winglets

Satinet-

If you're really looking to minimize drag then by all means cover the flutes in the Coro! This minimizes the surface area that the air passes over/through the winglets. I didn't...

RE: Zagi XS battery concerns

I would go ahead with the brushless upgrade and have more power. Doesn't mean you have to use it all--WOT--all the time but it is nice to have. I'd go with a Mega 1615-3T and a 25 amp CC esc. ...

RE: Zagi LiPo/Brushless?

Tommygun-
A good way to protect your Lipos is to stop flying them when you start to notice the power dropping off. Don't try to stretch them out too long!

RE: Zagi LiPo/Brushless?

Great choice!

With 3S lipos, but with a 3T brushless motor I would opt. for a 35 amp CC Phoenix esc over the 25 amp.

Happy Flying!

RE: Zagi 60-Good for a beginner?

The 60 is good for visibility it's pretty BIG! It is a good beginners plane if you like to keep the speed down, and just float around and find some thermals. It is NOT designed for high speeds as...

RE: Aveox Zagi-35 ESC not arming

Make sure the throttle AND throttle trim if there is one is in the full off position, then see if it doesn't arm then.

Hope this works!

RE: Zagi 400X upgrades

If you go with the 4T Mega make sure the spar is secure, maybe even add a couple more or she'll flap in a heart-beat!

Have Fun!

RE: Tazz, Mega or Astro?

The 4T Mega works great with the XS airframe. A 6x4 APC prop is a good prop as well, seeing that your at a pretty low elevation there in Michigan.
I like the Mega's myself.

Happy Flying!

RE: Zagi XT

I'm sure you'll get it sorted out. That's when you'll see all the others sitting in the grass, watching your XT blow by!!
(all the brushed others, that is) HaHa!
Anyway, don't give up!

RE: Zagi XT

Hey 1776, I would probably go full forward with the stock pack, I'm assuming thats what you are using to make your XT alittle more stable. This may put the CG a little forward of the 8" called for...

RE: which is better, the zigi xs or the unicorn

Never tried the Unicorn, but the XS with a 4T Mega/ Lipo set -up is a great wing! Probably would do well with an Astro as well. The canopy can be a bit of a pain if you plan on crashing alot. Just...

RE: Zagi XT

Having built and flown a few XT's and they all flew great with the stock set up. It sounds as if you may not have enough weight in the nose with the 2S2P lipo pack. The stock SCR1700 pack is pretty...

RE: Zagi XS brushless What prop?

5.5X4.5 should work good on that set-up with NIMh's. It should keep you from pulling too many amps through your CC25 amp esc.;)

RE: HELP PLEASE! Zagi motor too hot, melted plastic motor mount.

DNASREP-

I would spring for a brushless set up. The Mega 1615-4, CC 25, or (35 if you really want to hot rod), works well on the XS! Also some good NIMH packs made with FAUP 1950 cells, or...

Leave Lipo's fully charged?

Should Lipo's be left fully charged for a couple of days, (in a safe place of course) Or should they be flown prior to sitting them for a couple of days?

Thanks in advance

RE: Zagi Tazz Building Question

Fairtrade

You might check the CG on your Tazz. It's a beutifully flying airplane if the CG is correct, along with the trim being set up correctly. Sounds like it never recovered from the stall...

RE: Which Zagi for a beginner?

I agree with TWEET. The Zagi 60 is a great beginner platform, can slow down REAL SLLLLOOOOWWWW, or kind of HOT ROD it when your ready to pick up the pace a little! Easy plane to see as well.

RE: Zagi XS and Mega 16/15/3

The Mega with XS is an awesome combo. ! I'm flying a 4 turn Lipo powered XS and hear the same comments as exeter. If you go with the Lipo, re check the CG, depending on which one you go with. The...

RE: Tazz now comes with 1700 nicad

An awesome pack for the Tazz is made up with the FAUP1950 Sanyo cells. Probably the best pack short of going to a Lipo.
