RE: OMP Katana v2 70 Hinges

Use at least 3 hinges for the rudder and be sure to use a good quality CA hinge.

RE: omp yak 65' kit

Check your e-mail. I sent the PDF file of the manual. These can usually be downloaded from the web site but the link is not working at this time and RCU won't let me post it here.

RE: Engine for 80" Fusion

The OS is by far the BEST engine. You really don't need any more than that on the Fusion. If you really want to power it up put a header and bud bottle pipe on it. The 1.60 runs REALLY well on that...

RE: Team OMP

Wow, its pretty strange to be called "Older" at 38 but yeah those young guns certainly have some skills! However, there's no substitute for experience.......guess I'll just need to get a video posted...

Sweet slab dude! Is that a GMS 1.20? What prop are you using?

Mine has an OS 1.20, 17x6 Vess prop and a beer bottle pipe. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE POWER!!

RE: New 65" Yak 54 V3

The 65" Yak SP 55M has been out for a little while. You can get it as a kit or a Premeir Series ARF. This is one sweet airplane!

RE: 67" Fusion ARF/ recovered and maiden ready

I have the 52" Fusion and the 67" Fusion. The 52" flies really good.....A really nice .40 size profile. The 67" is unbelievable! Hands down the best 3D plane I've ever flown plus flies nice smooth...

RE: Which Fusion for OS FX61

Kevin,

Unfortunately you're sort of "in between" with a 2 stroke 61 on a Fusion. The 52" may be a bit small for a .61 FX and the 67" is likely too big for it. I have flown the 67" Fusion on a...

RE: 67" ARF Fusion Problems

The DS 821 servos will work, but are below what you would want for a safe, reliable 3D setup. Max torque is around 73 oz/in (not sure if this at 4.8V or 6.0V). You'll get away with 1 servo on each...

RE: YS 63 fuel???

YS blends, 20% nitro / 20% castor/synthetic oil are available from Powermaster and Wildcat. There may be ohers as well but those are the 2 I use.

RE: 67" ARF Fusion Problems

A 100 is not enough for what this airplane needs. A Saito 120 or 125 would be MUCH better. I have seen one fly with a 100 but it was definitely NOT 3D capable with that engine.

RE: 67" ARF Fusion Problems

TJR1,

Here's a few more pics to show you how I rigged mine. You might want to enlarge the hole in the aft compartment a bit but as you can see the throttle servo lead will get back there. As for...

RE: 67" ARF Fusion Problems

Here is a sketch of how to do this. All you are doing is combining the switch and left aileron servo together. The receiver can be powered via ANY channel, not just the one marked battery. As for the...

RE: 67" ARF Fusion Problems

TJR1,

Here are a few more pics. I am posting a picture of my 52" Fusion fuselage because the receiver is seen better here. I use a 6" extension for each aileron channel coming out of the...

RE: 67" ARF Fusion Problems

RE: 67" ARF Fusion Problems

What kind of receiver are you using? If it is small enough you can put it inside the fuselage as I have pictured below. This is a JR R770 seen in this picture. As for the battery, wrap it...

RE: 65" Yak on its way....need servo suggestions

Hitec 645MGs are 133 oz/in torque and a great servo! I use Hitec for just about everything and have had tremendous success with them. I'm pretty sure the 645MGs are what are in the OMP yak in the...

RE: 65' Yak or 67" Fusion.....how do you decide?

If you enjoy 3D the most then go with the YAK. I have a 67" Fusion and a 65" Yak 54 (the predecessor to the SP55M). The Fusion as capable of more "freestyle" aerobatics but for 3D fun you won't go...
