I think you'll end up pretty tailheavy if you put a servo back there - how big a motor are you hanging on the nose to need that much tail weight? G-38?

5/32" axle should work for that plane fine.

Has anyone thought about the FPE 1.3 gasser? $369 with muffler, weighs less than 40 oz accoridng to specs on chiefaircraft.com .

I'm sure the Evo/MVVS 26 is a lot stronger, but with a muffler...

biggest difference is that when you mount your fueltank o n the CG, the CG and flight characteristics of the plane isn't affected as fuel burns off.
