RE: crash

Isolate it....

Probably a bent main shaft if it happened after a good crash.

RE: need help with LMH 110

It's really hard to just throw out some numbers and make it work for you.

I'd try the 6 degree grips on both blades (don't forget to re-track them), probably start with 4 washers, and start the...

RE: LMH 110 wont start **HELP**

It's a good point, but the engine still should idle... It does idle afterall when the rotor is stopped and the clutch is disengaged.

I'd also suspect a glow plug, or too much compression.

RE: Corona tail rotor gear box help !!!

Don't overtighten the bolt on the TR gear box... I've never had a problem using LM grease.

There's an upgraded indestructable box, never tried it myself though.

RE: corona canopy

RCgroups huh? I'll have to check it out. You're definately right about this forum drying up. It used to be pretty active, but now there is only a handfull of posts a day. :(

RE: corona canopy

This guy (darth) makes some really cool canopies that fit both the gas and electric LMH. He used to post here quite often, but haven't seen any for a while....

RE: need help with LMH 110

That's a good idea too...

Either way, it looks like your going to have to get more pitch one way or another, and I guess that means you have to wait a month? That sucks...

How are the...

RE: need help with LMH 110

Yeah, that'll do it.

Try some higher pitched grips.

RE: need help with LMH 110

What's the ambient temp. where you are? 4x4 is really low pitch for the .061 engine... I always had to fly my vmax6 with at least 4x6 or more often 6x6 grips. Even with 6x6 there wasn't much lift...

RE: need help with LMH 110

It should lift off vertically under its own power, at the very least it should hover in ground effect under it's own power.

What grips are you using on the main rotor? How many shims on the...

RE: LMH 116 questions

Sounds like you just had "one of those days". I think everyone gets em. Don't let it get you down.

RE: tail hunting

It does sort of sound like a poor connection on your # channel. Have you noticed any corrosion?

I'd imagine if it was the battery connector you'd be getting glitch like symptoms on all channels...

RE: corona

Read the instructions carefully. Re-read each step and make sure you understand it before you perform it. Pay special attention to the cautions.

You'll find that the LMH manuals are superb. I...

Didn't crash did you? [&:]

Doesn't sound like it from the post. Can you think of anything signifigant between the day it worked and the day it didn't? Weather, dropping the gyro or heli,...

RE: LMH 116 questions

In regards to the dubro tank, go for it. I'm pretty sure there have been threads on it in the past you could search for to get some details. I still have the stock tank, and never tried the dubro,...

RE: LMH 116 questions

That happened quite a while ago. It was the first time the OEM ever broke in over 5 years of owning the LMH. Yeah, he paid for it, and felt really bad about it too. I replaced it with the OEM...

RE: Need help

Did you change the CG somehow? Trims? Start there... also make sure you've got the z-links setup the same on both sides.

Hunting is when the tail wags because they gyro gain is too high.

RE: LMH 116 questions

Sure is fun, isn't it?!

You'll get used to the lag between throttle inputs and lift pretty soon.

I let a friend who only had sim experience fly my LMH, he was doing OK, but chopped the...

If you go the stick on the skid route you should range check it (something you need to do no matter what antenna you use), I'm pretty sure that you could still get...

RE: Searching for high power EDF...

Cool, thanks for the tips.

I won't need an ESC though, because the fan will be controled by a relay. It'll be either on or off, and will only be on at WOT.

The fan I have now is the wattage...

RE: Searching for high power EDF...

I was afraid of that....

The fan unit is the crappy part? I was hoping a hotter motor would help out, I think the 020 brushless uses the same fan, but makes considerably more thrust.

Searching for high power EDF...

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get together the highest powered, cheapest 400 sized EDF unit possible. I'd do brushless, but I'm trying to keep it cheap, because this is all just an experiment...
