Yea..The manual is the older version on the plane. The ones I have are 6 months old, and are just like the pics. Feel free to ask any questions. This plane is great, and even covered in ultracote!

Who is having a problem with spark from the plug? This engine is by far one of the best mysef and other have witnessed. From what I gathered on this thread, don't see it as an issue. Just thought...

I have the EDGE 540 with the DLE 20. It is a perfect combo! I have a pic here on this forum somewhere towards the beginning.

Yes...Futaba has 2 brown outs a year...JR has 20,000,000 a week.

I have and had over 200 engines...The DLE is the best hands down! Just saw a 40% cardin go down from a JR radio brown out. If you want a perfect combo..fly DLE and Futaba. Any receiver that needs...

The templete was mounted correctly, or the engine would be off even more. After redoing it WITHOUT the templete, it came out perfect. The holes on the templete are off about
5/16 to the left...

Has anyone mounted a DLE 30 on this plane using the DLE 30 templete that comes with this plane? I used it, and it seems like the engine is off center by about 1/2 inch or so.

What's not to like about the NGK. Proven to be reliable already. Champion is good stuff..but not much data on it that I know of.

I would try to richen the carb a bit on the low end, and see what happens. Hard to give advise without more info....For example, does it quit when you throttle down? Jody is the man for this.

Yea... A123 have tons of current. More then most LIPO's. The A123 are a bit heavier then the LIPO's though.

I believe that he is using A123 batteries. They do not have to be removed from a plane when charging if so. They don't "blow-up" like LIPO's do.

I am currently building a SEAGULL EDGE 540 90 size. Using a DLE 20 with engine mounts that come with the plane. Great Fit.
