I run 40WT silicone oil front and rear, HARD REAR springs on the FRONT (yes!), and SUPER HARD REAR on the BACK, with pre-tensioners as well, as many as you like.

They stay done up tight, it's great not checking your wheels after a day's bashing and finding that they were barely secure!

PS, I have Tamiya lock nuts on my wheels now. A million times better than the HPI ones. How hard can it be to make a locking nut that doesn't undo???

The 18SS may work best with a different plug to the t-15. The motor itself would come with one, I imagine? Buy more of whatever it comes with, I guess.

MAKE SURE you thread lock the screws holding the engine in, and it should be fine. Mine got chewed out, but only because I forgot to thread lock, and lost two screws, allowing the motor to talk away...
