RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

It's not cheap. Look it up on any website for R/C but the last time I bought it, 2 months ago, it was about $27/Gal (on sale). It is very flammable too, so store it in a cool place away from sharp...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

BurningEvader1458, I can't speak to why your shocks are leaking. Maybe the seal is shot or maybe the cap is loose. EXT2Rob seems to have experience with the shocks so hopefully he will have an...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

cumquat, I know exactly what you mean about the nitro, my T-Maxx for example. It's a feeling of achievement, a badge of manliness to get the damn thing running sometimes. The T-Maxx comes with EZ...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Thanks EXT2Rob, jclay413, BurningEvader1458 and everyone else.

DuraTrax is a great entry level car and for those of us without the ambition of racing and stuff like that (just bashing, having a...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Welcome jclay413, glad to have you here.

I'm new to electric/brushless R/C as well and I love it! I'm thinking about getting a 1/18 or something real small for the winter time so I can...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Wonderful information EXT2Rob, I really do appreciate it, the part numbers especially - I like those wheels and tires. Great idea for the drive pins.

I had to order some parts today for the...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Thanks for the great advice EXT2Rob on the wheels and tires. I thought I was dealing with some sort of abomination. My LHS didn't carry Evader parts either so when I do order them (the...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Great info EXT2Rob, I will be looking at tires/wheels soon - just good to have some extras on hand.

That 10kmAh is beast! I have the 8000s and they go for at least 2 hours - granted this is my...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

I hear ya, nothing surprises me any more. Well they can't be more expensive than getting your timing belt on your car replaced, let's put it that way.

I just found these at Tower:

This is...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Does the crack affect the performance of the car (same question for the tires)? If it does then get a new wheel or two (and tires). I haven't looked up the prices but they can't be that expensive....

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

When I get home I can measure the thickness of my LiPo and you can check it against your car.

I have the Onyx 8000s and those are the only LiPos I have.

Have fun,

Harlow, that looks satisfactory to me.

Here's what I did (while listening to the Olympics opening ceremony and listening to my teenagers completely pan it - they have no sense of history).

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Well I tightened the server saver on my brushless on Friday and it made a big difference when turning of the Evader. I think I tightened it by two or three turns. The nut on the server saver is a...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Hi vic2367 and others who have an evader brushless. Have you had to tighten your servo saver yet? I've got under 8 hours of run time on mine and it seems like it's loose or set very..."weak" (my...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Thanks Harlow and pede 187 for two more good suggestions. I will let you guys (all guys, right?) know what my solution is after the weekend. I've the Dremel, velcro, zip ties, tin snips, etc. so,...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Thanks vic2367 and BurningEvader1458, both good suggestions. I appreciate the feedback. I will do this on the weekend, along with tuning up the T-Maxx, so my son and I can go running together.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

The LiPo is too thick and it won't fit under the ESC. Well, fixed that by gluing some small washers where the ESC screws go and the ESC and the bracket allow the battery strap in BUT the other end...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

I thought I'd put this information out there for anyone with an Onyx 235 Charger and Onyx 8000 mAh LiPo batteries.

I labeled the batts, BATTERY 1 and BATTERY 2 and started charging BATTERY 1...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

I just read this post so I'll reply.

I just got my Brushless Evader on Friday (7/20), charged up my two 8000mAh LiPos and drove it on Saturday. I got the Onyx 235 Charger and the Onyx 8000mAh...
