RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

I don't work for them, I'm just on the support crew. Consider me more like a roady :) If you send them an email, though, they'll be able to tell you for sure. I don't want to tell you something...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

I'm going to pass on the Albatros.

Let me ask you guys this: is it possible to start with fixed gear and later switch to retracts? I don't know if this would hurt the wing. My thoughts are...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

If I bought one it would probably be the Dave Brown, they're rated for about 2-3lbs more than this plane should weigh. Dave Brown has a pretty good reputation and I trust their rating judgement. ...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

They were surprisingly affordable, for main gear only (taildragger) they're $50 and tricycle is $75. That's not bad at all. It's about double what the nitroplanes retracts are but, honestly, I just...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Those are the two reasons I would buy retracts, as well, but when I weigh benefit over cost $200 is just too much.

Thanks for the tips. Dave Brown has a set of retracts but it doesn't list...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

The oleo seem extremely optional. I've already got a huge heavy duty retract servo, that's why I'm asking if I need two or one.

I'm not paying over $200 so my landing gear can move while I'm...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

I won't be going with air retracts. Any idea of what the ones that come with it from nitroplanes.com are like? Using mechanical retracts does it use one servo, or two?

I've never put in...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

I'm seriously, seriously considering getting this plane. It just looks so nice. It would be the CMP version (the desert camo one). I would actually rather have the WAR version, just because I like...
