Some more progress

First pic, 1/16” skin cut, pinned in place with 1/8” crutch to see fit and placement of the tail feathers. Still need to trim around the nose.

Aileron control rod, 3/32” wire, 1/8” aluminum tubing, Dubro fittings.

Better shot of crutch with 6mm depron foam.

Rear view crutch. Note epoxy caddy, keeps the epoxy at the tip.

That Sump'N else" looks a lot like a "Rivets" formula one racer. See RC plans, don't have a 3 view or pic. Download it and rotate it counterclockwise to get a good view.

I think he was trying to meet the 6" rule for bottom of fuse to top of fuse. Not sure. Or maybe he wanted a smooth transition from the top of the canopy to the nose.

OK got the wing sorted out, happen to have one cut and sheeted. Flies great got it groovin after 6 or 7 flights. Just in time first race next Sat Oct 9th.

Got my Pogo together. Have 9 flights so far. Running the Turnigy with 3s 2200mAh lipos. 9X6 apc E prop. Flys smooth and predictable with throws as suggested in the manual. Don't have a way to check...

I heard recently from a reliable source that Bio-diesel is a good choice for smoke. He used it and said it smokes pretty good. He suggested adding a little ATF for extra body. Not messy on the plane...

Best guess, prop hub nut loosened, woodruff key came loose or got really bent.

Had a similar experience after several prop strikes.
