RE: CDI gr8flyer55

OK so the HES is turning the LED of and off by itself. What type of HES are you using? do you have the datasheet? I also think you should secure teh HES to something and try again. Doing that free...

RE: CDI gr8flyer55

John,

The GPIO.1 Led stays on all versions and Nyemi's code too. With the pic in my development board, GPIO.1 is on solid and with GPIO.2 toggling GPIO.1 is the only pin that goes...

RE: CDI gr8flyer55

Rob,

can we get some more details? What pin is the LED connected to? also doing that my hand with out the HES fixed leaves a lot of room for error.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55

Blue jets you correct in that the scr needs a positive pulse.
But the transistor in the timer board does NOT supply the positive signal.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55

If you are talking about Q2 on the timer board then No it does not work that way. Define "on" state and "off state"

IF a NPN transistor is "on" then the transistor is fully saturated and the...

RE: CDI gr8flyer55

IF you are talking about Q2 on the timer board then no it should not be always high. its a npn transistor. meaning that a logic 1 turns it on which will cause the signal to the hv board to go low.

RE: CDI gr8flyer55

Jake this is why the pic needs to fire at start up( at least) on the low to high transition. After 500 rpm then you can have the pic trigger at the high to low transition. Then if the magnet stops on...
