RE: OS-70 4 Stroke needs airplane

Idisagree. A .40 sized stick would be a great match up for the .70FS. Sticks are a LOTof fun when slightly overpowered.... especially with a four stroke. Ilove the way they really slow down on the...

RE: Saito mufflers

Thanks.... it doesn't seem to cost any less for the cast mufflers. Iwonder why they started putting that hideous cast abomination on there instead of the turned models.

Saito mufflers

I've been out of the RCscene for several years and I'm starting to get something put back together to get in the air. Ijust picked up a used Saito FA-72 that comes with the hideous, asymetrical,...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

I know what you mean. It looks like poo, is very thick, no matter how many times you iron the wrinkles out, they come back. Personally, for a slick covering, I prefer Ultracote. IMO, it's superior...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

The kit looks good... my only disappointment is that they made the kit a G17 instead of the D17. I like the lines of the D model a lot more.

The red color does look good, but it looks like...

RE: ducktape as covering

ducktape? Is that used to hold their feathers on? :D As the other have said, ducttape is way too heavy to be considered a viable option for covering.

Definition of "Giant"

What parameters make an aircraft a giant? A certain wingspan? a certain scale?

Is a 1.20 Ultra Stick considered a giant aircraft?

RE: Ultra Stick Lite - defective part resolution

While on the phone with the Product Support Rep, I told him that the only piece that was defective was the elevator. I was informed that the elevator was not available by itself, the only way to get...

RE: Ultra Stick Lite - defective part resolution

Sure enough.... it's two days later and my new tailset was on my front porch when I got home today. First thing I did was check the elevator for straightness...... this one is fine. I'd have to say...

Ultra Stick Lite - defective part resolution

I began putting an Ultra Stick Lite together the other day and last night I ran across a problem. I was inpecting the horizontal stab and elevator and they both looked good. It wasn't until I set...

RE: Good tip for inverted engines ;)

I've built and used many of C. Brent Dane's OPTOGLO. It works very well. I still have enough parts to make a couple more but when I have to reorder parts for more, I plan on giving the OPTOGLO II a...

RE: plan printing

I don't understand..... if you've got AutoCAD, then you don't need any additional software to chop the drawing up. Just use AutoCAD. It's just about as easy as slicing bread.

RE: PC-6 Saito 1.20 or 1.50???

A .60? four-stroke?

I don't know if it makes any difference, but this needs to not only fly it's own weight, but it also needs to fly the plane carrying additional weight, towing gliders, etc. ...

Taking off with flaps

OK, I'm new to flaps.... never had a plane with them before. In flight, when the flaps are used, the airplane balloons dramatically and requires down elevator to keep it level. This is normal and...
