RE: Oil leaking all over the inside cowling

I had the exact same problem with oil spill all over in the beginning of last season. I did not find the cause, but after using my engine more frequently (it had been hanging all winter), it just...

RE: dz 160 engine problem

I had a problem with the 160 "coughing" when throttling up after long downlines (never stopping though..). I added a header tank and solved this issue. My 170CDi's didn't like this set-up at all, but...

RE: Kyosho Osmose datum line..?

Bob,
I think I would have started with the angles as designed. The down-pitching was a bit much for my taste, but several others didn't find this being an issue.

RE: 2 cycle engines for F3A

The Os140 is å splendid engine - but as stated in earlier posts, not really suited for the FAI program. You'll need an "older" airframe (say Synergy/Oxalys) to get enough ooompf. It is simply not...

RE: Current drain using YS170CDi?

Thank you for the reassuring answers!
I'm flying F3A P-13, using a stnd Hyde-mount.

I was hoping for a bit less Amp-drain given the smoother running CDi-engine. I've got counter-weights on...

Hello,
I've just converted my Oxalys to 170CDi power.. After a near miss earlier this summer, I've been more aware of the current drain of each flight!
On my Oxalys, I've had a few different...

RE: New Biplane by Bryan Hebert - Alferma

I used Supra retracts w/titanium struts (from Central Hobbies) on an old ZN Caprice some years back. I think I replaced one strut after approx.90-100 flights. No real issues there!

My Xigris is rigged for painting at the moment, so all engine-installation is taken out. I'll post a picture once I've finished painting.

RE: Should weight and 2Meter rule be modified in F3A?

Just a suggestion;
5,5kg Take-off weight (i.e. with fuel / batteries).
A full tank of fuel weighs approx.5-600g(ish..), so I think this would be one way of evening out thr IC - el. differences.
