RE: problem with a blade 500

My guess here: the gyro just didn't like that movement either left or right. Reread your first post noted the following: " clicked the switch to stunt mode" ...

Something else switched in the...

RE: problem with a blade 500

Here is what could be called the $319.95 (or less) answer:

Get a nib Blade 300 heli and pull the gyro from it and install yours in its place.

The little 300 is available online for *much*...

RE: problem with a blade 500

Sounds like a gyro problem. Friend had an early BX 7200 that flew well two times. On the third flight gyro went nuts, he did some fast dancing for twenty seconds or so.

Would suggest you...

RE: Just Got A New DX8 and ???

Throttle curve is a wonderful idea when dealing with non linear carbs on nitro airplane engines. I have setup curves on other pilot's nitro aircraft so the low *IS* low, mid is half of available...

RE: Marvel Mystery Oil?

MM, air tool oil, any non detergent 10w works fine. Clarence Lee has stated "if you want to stop corrosion, take out the glow plug and submerse the engine in oil." He went on to state that being his...

I fly Align. Buy the top of the line kit, everything is in the box you need to build and fly.
BTW: if you are mail ordering it, have heard that some sellers will swap out the 3gx gyro for a...

RE: I have stopped using Align Gyros & FBL 3G

What version firmware is/was in your fbl gyro? Have heard some ugly things about V1.0 and V1.0. Also, V2 and 2.1 didn't seem to be much better.

Yours sounds like a V1, V2 issue.

I am...

Like Barracuda hockey sez, It will take forever", maybe even longer. And be sure to stop the discharge somewhere around 3.2 or so volts.

RE: 4 motor ugly Stik

I like dissaray's airplane. Particularly the on board (for the moment) *real* tweet/twitter device.

Nice job on the stik, bhcnomo. a lot of "conversions" (eh?) like this turn out to be hack...

RE: 450 PRO DFC vs PRO V2

Hi Solman.
Thanks for clearing that up. That was what I had been told, that source was wrong.
Think I'll hang in there with *old school* fb head for a while.

Align 250, 450 pro, 500,...

RE: 450 PRO DFC vs PRO V2

Pro 2 DFC does not use a swash plate driver.
But... (there's always a but) its harder on servos than non DFC. Somethings got to take the load.

RE: I pulled the trigger on TREX 450 PRO

The x/y movement of the sticks. The dx-8 sticks are *much* smoother to use. I didn't notice this at first, but it becomes evident after a while. I BB'd the gimbals in my dx-7, a fellow heli flyer...

RE: I pulled the trigger on TREX 450 PRO

I have owned both dx-7 and the dx-8.

The 7 has BB on one axis of the gimbals, the 8 on both x/y axis. Plus it has other nice features too. Like the 4000 (!) Mah battery option and program, card.

RE: Align T-Rex 500E Flybarless head ??

There is no particular part number for a completer *kit* per se.

A good LHS can pick-add-gather all of the pieces you need to go fbl.

Try Ron Lund's Heli Proz south. If anyone can do it he...

RE: Which electric heli????

My suggestion is a T-Rex 500. Big enough to grow in to, not too large to be flown in confined spaces. A thought about the small and tiny heli's: they are twitch n fight, boredom sets in quickly...

Take a hard look at the manual. You may be able to do switch assignment in the initial programming set ups. That is, the programming you do with the radio off, where you chose aircraft type, wing...

RE: Are T connectors the same thing as Deans?

Look for the HK big block connector holder to help you with soldering on the Deans "T" connectors. They are the defacto standard in electric flight.

The connector holder also works well with...
