I have a DC-16 and I am using Hitec analog and digital, Hyperion digital and XQ digital. Have not had any problems.
Great radio - just really getting into the features.

Not sure what you mean by "firewall destruction or additions". I used an EME 35 with a pitts style muffler on mine and it bolted to the firewall just fine.

I just use straight (NO ethanol) gasoline which is readily available in my area at numerous locations. Phillips/Conoco, Shell and Sinclair mostly. I have never seen "real gas" as some refer to it...
