YS F-120 parts compatibility

I bought a used F-120 and want to run it on a 3D plane with just an exhaust stack (I don't have a muffler), is this ok to do?

I don't see parts listed for the F-120, which other YS engines would...

RE: CP Pro ugrade issue

I JUST did the same mod but used the stock tail housing. I think the GWS 3x2 prop is a better option. The prop presses on the shaft and seems to be VERY responsive with plenty of authority. Also,...

RE: NEW E-sky HH gryo for $38

Mine is mounted exactly as the previous picture shows. I never tried any other orientation, so I guess I got lucky :D

RE: NEW E-sky HH gryo for $38

The stock tail held well if you were smooth on the collective. I could do BIG round loops and barely have to touch the rudder. The tail stayed pretty well during rolls. If you tried a quick back...

RE: inverted with a blade cp?

If you get in a panic and move the collective qucikly, the tail really does swing wildly with the stock gyro. It can get pretty scary until you get the heli back under control (hopefully) :D That's...

RE: NEW E-sky HH gryo for $38

I don't think so, but I don't know which way is righ-side-up? I just taped it to the two servos in the back, like they show in the Blade manual with the E-flight gyro. The directions with the E-sky...

NEW E-sky HH gryo for $38

E-sky has a new HH gyro I bought from BP. It was pretty much plug in and fly with my Blade CP Pro! The tail holds MUCH better than the stock gyro. I imagine this would be a great mod for people...

RE: When & How to use idle up switch

Generally, if you are going to be inverted at any time (i.e. loops, rolls etc) you should be in idle-up. If you are just doing hovering, FFF, stall turns, you really don't need it.

RE: Brushless Setup on the CP Pro

Thanks, I'll try the DD. Maybe if all this wind in the northeast stops I'll get to fly with my new HH Gyro.

RE: Brushless Setup on the CP Pro

I've been brushless on the main with the stock tail and it's fine. I bought an E-sky HH gyro for $38 from Balsa Products. The gyro seems to work fine but the HH needs a responsive tail, and the...

RE: Brushless Setup on the CP Pro

Which GWS motor and prop are you using? Did you need a prop adapter or does the prop press-on?

I just upgraded to heading hold after my stock gyro broke. The HH gyro seems to be harder on the...

RE: inverted with a blade cp?

I do have the brushless (best mod ever for $50 with controller) and I'm in idle-up so the main rotor is spinning faster than stock. I have the stock TX. I also run the E-sky blades which seem...

RE: Brushless Setup on the CP Pro

Double the power would be a good estimate, run time seems the same too.

The stock tail is fine, I'm only on my second motor and I have the brushless main from the start. I always try to do...

RE: inverted with a blade cp?

CC 540's are no problem for my BCPP. Full left rudder basically shuts down the tail and the blade spins CC just fine. Gently return the rudder to neutral during the last 180 and it stops dead with...

RE: Blade Pro direction

Forget the $18 blades. I use these blades, they cost less than $8 and work as well or better than the stock e-flight blades. They are the Esky 4-000 blades. Maybe these were mentioned earlier.

RE: Ultra Rock & Roll

YNOT

You should try a Cline regulator. No muffler pressure needed. You can put the tank in the tail if you want and get constant fuel flow in any orientation. Spend the $60, it is cheaper...

RE: inverted with a blade cp?

You should be able to fly inverted, hover inverted nose in and nose out on the sim first. Once I was comfortable on the sim it took me about 3 crashes and $20 in parts to perfect inverted flight on...

RE: aerobatics with the blade!

I've had good luck with this motor

Any 9 amp or better controller would be fine

RE: aerobatics with the blade!

I just used a $24 brushless motor and $20 speed controller, the rest is stock. You won't get more bang for the buck with any other mods. The stock tail is fine for basic aerobatics, that's all I...

RE: inverted with a blade cp?

Yes, brushless will make the blade much more fun to fly. Inverted forward flight is easier than a hover. Practice on the sim first then just pull a big round loop and at the top just keep flying...

RE: inverted with a blade cp?

You have to be in idle-up. To stop a nose dive just push forward elevator and pull the throttle stick back :D

Easiest way to get into inverted flight is pull a nice big loop and at the top...

RE: Blade CP with E-Flite Park 370 4100 KV motor temperature

That's about how hot mine gets, I don't have any heat sinks.

RE: aerobatics with the blade!

Try a 4200kv Brushless with an 8t pinion. You'll do one loop after another until you get bored, big round loops too. Stock tail seems ok just apply the throttle smoothly.

Once you get the...

RE: inverted with a blade cp?

chopperdudes

If you want to start doing aerobatics get a brushless motor. I use the one linked below with an 8T pinion, works great. You can do as many loops as you want and the motor won't...
