Set it at 6 1/4" and then give yourself a higher than normal high rate as an option. Fly it on mid-rate, but then at least you have extra throw available in a high rate in case it feels mushy.

I had trouble getting the Spektrum sats to bind to the Mercury, but it's entirely possible I was doing something wrong. I bound it to a JR XBus receiver easily though.

Since they're all completely built and painting in the BVM shop in Florida, I highly doubt it. The servos are probably made in China, but then so are all the servos from most major brands these days....
