RE: Making the HK Princess boat more realistic

I'm interested in building one of these. Can you please tell me how you figured out how far back to place the prop under the hull? Could you also possibly post a link to the 35mm prop you used as...

RE: Unofficial

I have wanted one of these boats for a while, but seems like most people replace the jet drive. Is it necessary to replace the jet drive even when upgrading to a 2200-2600kv brushless motor? I found...

No trouble here ether. Some EMS orders come in 3-4 days and some take 7-8. But I always get my items.

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Got the Geico wet yesterday. Threw on a 48mm Grouper carbon prop to see how it went. Went well, I think[8D]

RE: Turnigy 36 56 06 motor

Ray, that Trackstar motor would rip in a Miss Geico. Might even pick one up for my 26" Prince mono ;)

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Gordie, if speed is what you're after, I installed a Castle 1512 2650 kn in mine. Lets just say it's not slow ;) Look back a few pages and you will see videos of it. Expect to run 2, 4S packs in...

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Ordered myself up a fiberglass canopy from Tiqueman, on OSE. Should be here by the end of the week. First one he pulled from the production mold[8D].

I cracked in inside of a sponson when I hit...

RE: How hard should it be to blow air thru your cooling system?

Ether there is blockage or you need one water line for the motor and one for the ESC. Some fittings don't flow very well. 90* fittings especially.

RE: 29

Nice boat!

Is that a UL1 motor? I would run a $60 4074, 2150kv Tacon motor with an x445 or x447 prop and hold on!

RE: Prince 25

Yup! The boat must of hit a turtle or, something, because I was driving it back to shore towards me when it just jumped out of the water with the nose in the air and something must of come lose...

RE: Prince 25

Never even noticed this thread, but I picked up one of these about a month ago. I bought the bare hull with upgraded hardware from a member of OSE for $125, I think. First run was with a Castle 3424...

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

I did ask her and it shut her up for 2 seconds, lol. I told her I would keep running there until the city puts up signs. She's just bitter and has nothing better to do. Some other lady told me she...

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Prado is $7, but I rather pay that than go down to test my boats at the Chino Hills pond and get in to it with the crazy duck lady. Man, she pisses me off so bad that I can't even enjoy myself after...

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

So the key is only to use the boat? Cause if that's the case, I have my rescue rig I rather use anyways. I thought the key was for a fence to get in, or something. So it's open all the time then. I...

RE: New hobbyking vanquish boat kit

If money is an issue, a $54, 1300KV Tacon motor should move that boat just fine on 8S, IMO. I would be willing to try it with a Turnigy 80HV ESC. Never underestimate the power of low KV/High cells.

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Diesel, try a x445 or x447 on that motor. It wont even break a sweat!

asupervee72, I ran the Castle 2650 not for practicality, but because I could.;)

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Went back to the 1800KV Castle outrunner on 2 5000mah 20C packs but added an X445. Way cooler running with good run time on 2S packs. Still room for more prop so next I will try an X447. As I'm using...

RE: SUPER SPEED I NEED IT

If you want the best then get Neu motors for your boats. The Castles may be based on them but nothing castle makes comes close to the power a Neu motor. They may not be the most expensive, but the...

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Just change the setting to LiPo and leave everything else as is. Use 30c or greater batteries for good punch. If you can get 40c then better. You'll love the boat. Good luck and keep us posted!!

RE: Miss Geico 29 Catamaran

Oh it's nothing against the boat. It's the paint that's fugly!! If they offer it in a solid color I'll pick one up in a second. I love cats.
