You need to do a forming charge/procedure on your new battery. Cycle the battery three times at 0.1C. Check out Hangtimes on the web, he explains this procedure clearly.

Sounds like you had an over voltage condition occur. If that is the case, I would send that Rx to Futaba for service/repair. I don't think there is a fuse or a fuse link that blows to save the Rx. I...
