I cant remember if they are 3500 or 3800kv . A friends Bandit ( same trans and motor ) does 60 on 3S , so 40 on 2S lipo should be doable . Up the pinion a tooth or 2 should see you close to 45 .

To tell the difference - there are 3 visible capacitors on the ESC and the motor wires have a braided cover near the end cap .
Dont get a 2 pole version !

GPS can sometimes take a little bit to update its position . If you dont stay at full throttle for very long , it could give a slower speed reading .

It also takes longer to get to top speed so you might have just run out of road .

Red/Orange = + Power - middle wire
Black/Brown = - Power/Ground
White/Yellow = Signal wire ( dont use this one )

Hobbywing say to set cell count manually for odd numbers of cells . The ESC will sometimes think 3 cell is 4 cell and set Low Voltage...

The problem is there is not a lot of space for an ESC .
Some people mount it partly over the edge of the chassis ....

Motor - will have a safe Max RPM . Putting more volts in at full throttle will push it past the limit . It will work , but , it will get hot...

Taping only lasts so long .
17mm hex adapter and 1/8th wheels is the way to go .
Sweeps , GRPs or even 1/8th foam tires will hold up at 60+ mph .
