T8J I'm a little confused

Considering buying one of these. It appears that the 2008 receiver has 8 conventional outputs as well as sbus output. However, in the Tower Hobbies ad it says that you can only use 4 conventional...

RE: R6008HS

Not to be a pest but how about this.
I have the 8FG TX in which I could assign channels 4 & 5 to channels 7 & 8.
The way I read the manual is that the R6008HS operates in HS mode on channels 1...

RE: R6008HS

Thanks,

Would it be acceptable to put the RX in high speed and use channels 7 & 8 for rudder and gyro gain.

RE: 8FG Throttle Curve (Air)

I figured it out. I was trying to make it much more complicated than it is.
It's simple when you look at it in a simple way !!

8FG Throttle Curve (Air)

I seem to be having some difficulty grasping the relationship between curve rate and curve point.
I am not familiar with having two variables when setting up a throttle curve.

Can you provide...

What is the accepted procedure for range test with the engine running.
I am assuming it is to start the engine with the TX already in Range Test mode rather than start the engine and power cycle...

2.4 RX antennas

I'm probably slow but after reading a couple of posts, I am still not quite straight.
Should one antenna be mounted horizontally and one vertically.
Should they be mounted in the same plane just...

RE: Futaba 8FG main body material ?

It's hard plastic but not slick. Has a matte finish.
It feels much better than my 9C. Smaller, lighter, and well balanced.

If I send you a 9CH can you relocate the switches to make it a 9CA.

Thanks,

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

Since the case is split, removal is not nearly as difficult as if the bearing pressed in.

You don't need a lot of the retaining compound. Just a couple of small drops on the top and bottom case...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

I use Loctite 603 available at most auto parts or bearing stores.

I lightly rough the bearing and casting with 200 grit sandpaper and clean with brake cleaner.
The surfaces must be completely...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

The only difference between the RDJ7J and the RDJ7Y is that the Y has a projected tip. You should not have had to alter the rubber boot.
Be careful with the projected tip plug as it puts the...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

The Champion resistor plug is RCJ7J. The plug that comes with the engine is not resistor.
I have no interference problems because I am using 2.4Ghz. Are you using PCM. FM does not work well with...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

I cut the length on mine in half for the same reason. But I left just a little sticking outside the cowl.
Removing the velocity stack will not adversely affect the engine, but, it will probably...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

With the amount of drag on the biplane the 18X8 gave me the best thrust vs speed for the performance I wanted.
I think you will need to try different props, 18X8 or an 18X6-10 or a 20X6 or a 20X8...

I had a 26cc in it originally and it just wasn't enough.

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

18X8 XOAR Laminated worked well for me.
Also had pretty good performance with a MAS Classic 18X8.
Prefer the XOAR though.

Be careful not to get any threadlocker on the Hall Sensor.
It...

Specification

Bill,

Can you tell me the average sensitivity of Futaba dual conversion FM receivers.
The value in any form, millivolts, microvolts or dbm would be fine.

Thanks

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

I got mine finished and am pleased so far.
After about 2 hrs of break in, it's turning a MAS 18X8 at 7800 and has a solid idle at 1800.
I am mounting it in a GP PT-17 Stearman and will let you...

The crankshaft should have been fine...
