I have a 20RA in my 14 lb Waco biplane and it pulls it around with plenty of power. I always use a xoar 17x6 on all my 20's 8500rpm sounds about right for a 2 blade.

I once had the same issue with an aileron servo and doing away with the Y solved it. Wire the servo in ? direct and see if the problem still exists. Could be a bad servo also that won't center and it...

Yep, the battery or ignition itself. I have had 2 ignitions go bad while still under warranty. Check to make sure the timing sensor hasn't slipped also.
