RE: Got a new toy! HELP!

You should have less or similar amp draw from your more powerful brushless motor as the stock brushed motor gives. The 640 mah battery i have running on the same motor performs well albeit a little...

RE: Triton II ?????

Transmitter packs have the charge rate written right on them in most cases... and in all nicad transmitter batteries that is a slow trickle and nowhere near 5 amps.

RE: Yak 55 3d

I'm not so sure on shipping to your area but check out unitedhobbies.com

Can't really beat their prices on a lot of items and for things like learning 3d I can't see that spending more than...

RE: what motor is this

looks to me like a 130 motor that is what ships with the cox warbirds. It's definitely not the 180 motor from the tail of the heli as it is quite a bit longer.

RE: converting free flight kits

The only issue we had with a free flight conversion was wing incidence. Once we dialed that in for rc flight it didn't want to climb so badly and actually made for a very good flyer.

RE: TRYING TO SLOW THE PLANE DOWN

The coordination is something you're going to want to force yourself to learn regardless of ease. This falls into the category of "basics".

RE: Illegal?

Try contacting your local flying club and make sure that there aren't any ordinances against flying in public parks in your area. It's possible that a local field has received permission to fly in...

RE: Need help to modify a radio

This sounds like a really neat project. I hope that in the end you can find something that works out for your friend.

My thought on this is kind of along the same lines as your foot pedal idea...

RE: How to start flying? 3D?

If you do end up learning on a low throw 3d plane you have to realize that they do not fly as traditional planes and you will learn a few bad habits if you intend on flying full airfoil airplanes in...

RE: How to start flying? 3D?

The best way would be to put that plane on the shelf and get a trainer plane. Learning to fly has its ups and downs even when learning on an airplane that is best suited to inexperienced flyers. You...

RE: Something new

Those things are out of your control. Strapping a high speed projectile to your plane and firing it off is not out of your control. Which is why it would go against the ama's regulations for safety....

RE: Something new

Think of others. There would be more than one pilot displaced by the actions of one idiot. What would the other 50 people flying at these fields do without their ama sponsored flying fields? What...

RE: Something new

My issue isn't that it's being done. That's fine and dandy. I have issues with it being posted as such a cool thing to do. Here we have one local club and one club for only the college kids at the...

RE: Anyone recommend Parkzone Spitfire to relative beginner?

The general consensus for flying height when you're still learning any plane is 3 mistakes high. If you can visualize the speed of the airplane and picture yourself making one mistake, this could be...

RE: Cirrus Micro Joule flight pack and 2S Li-Po

I'm not for sure if it is safe or not but I do remember people using those with 2 cell lipos. There is a build article floating around the interweb somewhere that someone used that system in a...

RE: Parkzone Warbird Comparisons

That's funny leo... considering that if they had went ahead with the landing gear on the 51 it wouldn't have the battery hatch issues that it does... or...

RE: Park Zone & Hobby Zone

I have a firebird freedom for the sole purpose of dropping bombs with the xport for my nephews to chase after... it's a bit of a gimmick as any model with a spare servo can do that but it's still fun...

RE: Dual Electrics on one Controller

Because of the timing required for a brushless motor to run you will need an esc for each motor. you can however run them both off of one lipo battery

RE: Parkzone Warbird Comparisons

It does appear that parkzone has made considerable improvements to the models as they progressed for those that like to fly them. The one thing I think they could do to garner even more support is...

RE: Twinstar II Lipo Battery confusion/decisions (3s 2500-3200 ideal) thoughts?

A lot of people are going towards HXT batteries from unitedhobbies.com... that is when they have them in stock. Much cheaper price and good track record from most of the people that have used them
