Hey Johnny,

It would be best if you can fit a 3 or 4 cell LiPo of at least 4000mAh in your hull. If so then you would be looking at a 2300kv motor on 3 cell LiPo or an 1800kv motor on 4 cell...

I had the same question last year with a hull a bit smaller. I agree with the above, using a drum servo over the arm servo. You will get better strength performance not speed, from a drum servo. This...

Fully charged 6s voltage = 25.2v
3c * 5Ah batteries * 4 of those batteries = 60 Amps
Charger Wattage = 25.2 * 60 = 1512watts
Power Supply Wattage should be at least 20% higher = 1850watts.
A...

1600-1800kv is not a bad choice for 5s LiPo. The motor just needs to be larger in physical size to handle the excess waste heat you are producing with that prop load. Look at a 39mm x 74mm can size.

RE: Arowana melt down

Amperage bottleneck? The bottleneck is what ever didn't burn up yet as you can clearly see. That's far too much kv for 4s lipo. Drop to 3s or get another motor.

Motor KV selection

RE: Multiple Choice RC related quiz game

It's not based on how fast you may spit out the answers. The tie breaker between 2 equal scores is who has the most recent entry. You may make a 2nd attempt, and may not have all the same questions....

RE: **My new High Speed project**

Nice, seems like it is moving out nicely so far. What speeds are you achieving ?

Why aren't you using 5.5mm bullets or larger plugs? I only run deans on planes drawing less then 30A.

RE: Problem with brushless motor

I would do the opposite. Find a better motor for the hull. That motor is best suited to 3s LiPo. If you want to use it, a 68cm hull and 3s would be a much better match. Same 42mm prop and all.

RE: Problem with brushless motor
