All stems from having two names...

RE: precision cut kits chipmunk wood quality ?

If you have a good hobby shop that carries good wood, go the short kit route.   I had to replace some wood that wasn't very straight.

RE: getting epoxy in small areas

Dab it DEEP into the hole with a toothpick or simular device and keep it away from the hinge area with some sort of grease or equiv.   Someone used a chap stick others use light machine oil.

RE: Fleet Brotherhood

I'm going to make that a priority soon...visit Pensacola.

The trapease trials on the Macon was done with a few different planes and that appears to be one. I think I detect the trapease gear...

RE: Does anyone know what this might be?

VECO 45 , Wow! I haven't seen one in years. T'was a powerhouse. I had a VECO 35 RC. Had a unique exhaust flap that would come down with the throttle to keep the heat in. Mid 1960s era.

What a...

A pic of my 1/4 Fleet of Tennessee Red and Diana Cream. In the sun, sometimes a bit yellow comes out but not as yellow as yours.

RE: Fleet Brotherhood

From the pix, I'd lay money that the fuse is "Tennessee Red" which is a Randolphs product color. The yellow I can't explain but maybe a lemon yellow...don't know. If matching is an issue, just...

RE: Fleet Brotherhood

Build a new part. Warps are funny things. You might be able to twist and heat with some success but sooner or later, it will return.

I've a slight warp on my Fleet's aileron and just gave up on...
