    RE: Erevo run times

I use 8200 mAh (2s) batteries from SPC Racing.  I get 45-60 minutes of run time out of them in my ERBE.  Love them.

    RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Those tires look like the original Trenchers, not the Trencher X.

    These are Trencher X's:

    RE: Traxxas Summit

Should be interesting to see how long it stays on the body, especially since its on the outside.

    RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Sell it and buy an MT4.  :D

    J/K

Rear chassis brace mod, aluminum Hot Racing diff cups, RPM arms, Motor mount mod.  HPP hubs to get rid of slop.

    That's the starter list.

    RE: My take on Traxxas

Let us know if you still feel that way a year from now, when your traxxas is one year old, and you've had to repair those plastic shafts 4-5 times.

And if you buy another brand of vehicle, drive...

RE: Monster Truck - Belted Racing Slicks

Yep.  JSpeed/ipanema has taken down the listings showing it as a belted tire, as a result of this incident.

He PM'd me and gave me a rundown of the situation with the company that manufactures the...

    RE: Brushless E-Revo Thread

Post up some pics of it, we might be able to give you a better idea.  $200-$300 depending on the condition of it.

RE: 3.8 Hard Compund Tires for Bashing

Not sure how hard of a compound you're looking for.

I run the Trencher X on Desperados, and they are pretty solid tires. They balloon like any other RC tire, but the grip on all terrain is pretty...

    RE: E-Revo Brushless Steering Servo

You only need one of those servos in your Summit if the torque ratings are accurate.

OP, I run the 7955TG in a 1/8 MT, and it is perfect.  I do need to run a glitch buster capacitor ($10) in the...

RE: New to R/C and E Revo

At that budget, check out the Revolectrix PL6 charger. Best charger out there for the money. You'll need a power supply for it too, so you're looking at +/- $350 total for the setup. But it's the...

Huh? Why would leaving your battery at storage capacity be bad for it?

RE: Summit problem with MIP Spline CVD

Yep, that's all you need. No worries, we were all in the same place you were at one time. Most of us learned by making mistakes, too.

I can't tell you how many times I've taken apart a Revo...

RE: Summit problem with MIP Spline CVD

They got nothing wrong. Traxxas offers two different rear arms for the Revo. RPM chose to offer an aftermarket part for only one of them.

It makes sense why they don't. The majority of the...

Buyer beware, these tires are a joke, and it appears they are falsely advertised. Hopefully a reasonable explanation can be provided, but it would appear that these tires...

RE: New to R/C have a Stampede problem

He may end up needing a VXL transmission next.  IIRC, the XL-5 transmission is not as strong as the VXL spec transmission.  I think (correct me if I am wrong) the VXL transmission has metal gears,...

    RE: Question from a n00b

I have to agree with Foxy, you'll have trouble finding a decent brushless setup for $200.  The world of RC gets very exciting with brushless.

You might try checking out the RTR (Ready To Run) kits...

RE: New to R/C and E Revo

What is your budget for the charger?  Yes, get a full function LiPo charger.  But the majority of chargers out there today will have a balance, fast charge, storage, and discharge function on it, so...

    RE: Hooked

If you want 1/2 offset, your choices are Traxxas Geode or ProLine Desperado.  There are some other wheels out there with 1/2" offset, mostly truggy wheels that I know of or Axial 8 spokes.  But the...

RE: Summit problem with MIP Spline CVD

Kenny is right, switch back to the stock rear arms.  The RPM arms fit the Summit, but they are not extended wheelbase, so they will cause issues with the rest of the components fitting properly.

  24. RE: Totally New To RC World. Just Bought Rustler ...

The Thunder AC6 is a good charger, too.

As far as shipping, HobbyKing and Hobbypartz both ship out of California for the US.  You'll receive your stuff in about 4-7 days after they ship your order.

    RE: Traxxas Summit Gearing Question

How did you burn up the 775 in a week?  They aren't the best motors out there, but they don't suck, either.

Did you follow the break in procedures?
