RE: I ruined my Lipo

It is a waste of time to mess with one that is already "sqishy" It is probably already discharged to a non-dangerous point and can be tossed and replaced.

Congrats on your flights and good...

RE: Looking to charge multiple Axe 100CP batteries at one time

You may just have to make an adapter if you are dead set on doing them in series. A better choice may be to do them in parallel.

RE: NiMH-Accu cycle elite-curious readings

To test the accuracy of the elites capacity reading multiply the current by the time. I bet money that it is accurate . I also bet money that the packs are all good too.

RE: Purchasing Airspace

Interesting. I wonder how much a cubic yard of space is worth? I rent my air space really cheap. ;)

RE: Transport Large model on top of Car ??

Is that over the max width for your state? Ohio is 8.5 feet max. 8 feet on county roads.

RE: What does the formula tell you?

C means "capacity" and the number is a multiplier. It can a number of currents (amps) such as recommended charge rate , max charge rate , burst discharge rate , max constant discharge rate, ect. Most...

RE: keeping lipos in planes in garage?

Perhaps the charts in this thread may help. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11244080/anchors_11244080/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#11244080

RE: Charging weirdness

Most all chargers work that way , and is a fault of the pack (capacity mismatch) and not the charger. I'm not aware of any charger that will balance on a discharge cycle. Perhaps some of the good...

RE: keeping lipos in planes in garage?

SOD cannot be figured that way. 11.1 is nearly depleted. Perhaps you meant 10.8 volts as it is 0%. 70% charge shall be around 3.9-4.0 volts per cell and most recommend a storage of 3.85 volts/cell...

RE: Charging weirdness

No point indeed. It is just a small cell. I wonder why the capacity was reduced to about half.

RE: keeping lipos in planes in garage?

I agree that cold storage is the best. Many times in the hottest 2 months of Ohio I make sure that all the "extras" are in the fridge , but any that I fly regularly still stay in the garage. It's not...

RE: Charging weirdness

It is out of balance and the cure is to "balance" it. Why it's out is anyone's guess. Perhaps it never was in balance?

RE: How do I know NiMH done charging (wall charger)?

NI cells will warm up when full. The voltage will also drop slightly. One thing is for sure, your 3800 pack should take 4 times as long as the 1100. ;)

RE: Carbon-Z Yak batteries

You can do either one , and it is important that no one cell gets over or undercharged.

RE: Carbon-Z Yak batteries

Many of us are exceeding the manufacturer's max rates on many lipos. I am not familiar with your specific batts , but many of mine are charged at 5-15 times the max rate listed on the pack. Each pack...

RE: old dawg looking for answers

Without knowing that brand, I'm guessing that it is a 45 amp ESC with a BEC built in. I'd goolge the specs on it and perhaps you will find it has a Max of either 3s or 4s for battery cells. Then...

RE: Life batteries not charging to rated capacity

That's probably normal for even brand new cells. If they are tested at the specs given by MFG then they should deliver the spec rating by MFG.

RE: 8s lipo batteries?

You can put any number of identical (capacity) packs together in series to make 8s. Like a pair of 4s packs OR a 6s and a 2s.

RE: Tower Corsair Brushless Rx-R 39

I'm using a 9x4.7 prop from HK that may be similar to the 9x4.5 SF. It is TGS for $1

I could also send you a GP...

RE: differences in SLT RX?

All the Tactic RX that will not link (bind) are labeled "SLT".

Perhaps we can tell another way instead of reading the SLT label?

As far as the TR624 rx goes , it isn't a big deal. I've not...
