RE: G20 ei won't start anymore

Thanks for this information. I just checked the timing and it was OK. I ordered a new ignition today.
It's a pity that the Zenoah stock ignition is not reliable. The engine has only 40 flights.

RE: Seagull Yak?

Fastplane,

I'm not chuck but I can tell you that my g20 is directly bolted to the firewall. No standoffs are needed.

Happy flying,

Mike

RE: G20 ei won't start anymore

Hi Walt,

No, they aren't. I had 40 successful flights before the problem has shown up.
What is strange, is that I removed the carb today, and filled directly the cylinder with gasoline and...

RE: Seagull Yak?

Hi Chuck,

You are right about the landing gear. You spare about 4 oz with the carbon landing gear. I also replaced my tail wheel. Mine broke even before the first flight, while testing the plane...

RE: Seagull Yak?

Hi Chuck,

Just have a look here: http://www.carboncopyuk.com/acatalog/Carbon_Copy_Products.html for the Landing gear.
The one I installed is the CCU14. It gives me clearance for a Mejzlik...

RE: seagull models

Hi Mike

Mine is perfectly balanced on the first red stripe of the wing, just before the wing tube. The CG indication of the manual is wrong and many pilots have lost their YAK during the maiden...

Brillelli 46GT

Just tached my new brillelli 46GT. It is installed on a GP Pitts special.

RE: Zenoah G20ei

Absolutely! The power you vzn expect from the g20 ei is right between the OS90 and the OS 120 two strokes.
You will get more than 14 lbs of thrust on a 17x6 JXF and just a bit less on a JXF 16x8....

RE: Do I have a problem with my G20 idle rpm ??

I have run my G20 ei with a JXF 17x6 and 16x8 and indeed, the lowest reliable idle I got was 2100 rpm.
It is installed on a Seagull Yak 90 and this "high" idle never gave me problem on a grass...

RE: Seagull Yak?

I fly my Yak with a Zenoah G20 ei turning a JXF 17x6 at 8100 rpm. That's about the same power as the BCMA 26cc gasser. Thrust is above 14 lbs and the plane weight just 9.9 pounds, with a MaxAmp 4200...

RE: Brillelli 46cc

Just installed the 46GT today in a great planes Pitts Special and the first flip after the choke was removed. With absolutely no tuning, I got already 7100 rpm on a Xoar 20x8. Idle was 1600rpm. I was...

RE: Walbro carb problem on BCMA 26

Hi Gapple 12,

I will take some pictures during the weekend. It makes sense to me, as I didn't take this factor into account. Now, the reason why I do not contact Adam anymore is simply because I...

Walbro carb problem on BCMA 26

I have a BCMA SPE 26 with a Walbro carb installed to it. From the start, I had serious problems with the carb settings.

RE: Evolution 26GT VS BCME SPE 26

XJet,

I use it also at 1200 ASL and I must say I'm also very dissapointed with it.
I got 6400 on a 18x8 Menz S. The power developped corresponds more or less to a 17x6 running at 7600.
I'm...
