Done, no joy. Even on the MONITOR screen, it shows the flap switch being toggled, but still no movement of the flaps

Thanks Gary, problem solved, it was actually a defective switch that came with the radio, I discovered it when I switched to the elevator channel then back to the throttle channel without the switch.

yeah I almost learned the hard way myself, barely got off the ground, decided the wind was too strong (probably not even 5mph) cut throttle and landed

When there's no wind it flies pretty damn...

Some of their newer products (IE the freedom) are now 3 channel, so you get Throttle, Rudder, Elevator, which is mixed because it's a v-tail, haven't flown mine yet, but it seemed to be the best...

I faced this same decision today, I went with Hobby Zone's Firebird Freedom

it's a 3 channel, it's ugly as sin, and it couldn't be any easier to fly, plus with the V tail you get a lot more...
