RE: HELP with Firehammer MT - won't start!

Pull the plug and clean it. Regap it if necessary. I have yet to kill a plug in my Firehammer buggy (original 23cc engine and Zenoah 26cc upgrade).

RE: LET ME SHOW THE MEANING of offroad....

One time Selwa weighed his buggy after a 'mud run' and it had gained four pounds! :D

RE: 5b 2.0 comes with Zen engine from factory

HobbyThek offers to upgrade stock engine on a HPI Baja 5b to a G260 for 140 Euros at the time of purchase. Strange their not offering the G270 now that it is out.

I once chatted with a HobbyThek...

RE: 4RM RECENT VIDS FG.onboard cam.

Awesome onboard footage! It helped having the "outboard" footage to compare it to ;)

I wonder if a camcorder with image stabilization would help with the vibration? It gives the footage an edgy...

RE: vs/nutech hurricane c5 ??

Hey Pwaicon, is that an FG 8485 diff in the center? I have that as a rear diff in my Firehammer. If so, its interesting how that diff designed for rear wheel drive just drops right in as a center...

Maybe it was supposed to SATAN and some Chinese person misspelled it.

RE: Guys whats wrong with my car

If there is any kind of firing sound from the engine, even if slight, then the kill switch is probably not stuck or bad. I drilled a small hole in my kill switch cover and put a small machine screw...

RE: Guys whats wrong with my car

Grass will get sucked in the pull start fan area and another inlet under the engine. This grass will fill up the area behind the fan shroud (cover the pull start is screwed on to) and also into the...

E-clip tool

Saw this gem on the Duratrax web site. Anybody have one of these that can say whether it's worth having? I freakin' hate trying to get e-clips seated sometimes.

RE: on road clone for desperate times

There's a nice looking used on-road car in the RCU classifieds. It has an Mercedes body shell and is selling for $500. It is a lesser known, good brand (SVM). It may be compatible with FG parts. It...

RE: firehammer discontinued??

Duratrax will provide parts for several years. I picked up an old Associated RC10T and can still get parts from Tower Hobbies.

That said, there are many parts for the FG Marder that are...

RE: took a break, but now?

The 4WD Smartechs are not straight FG clones like their 2WD models. The Smartech Titan uses shaft drive while the FG is belt driven. There are other considerable differences. There are several...

RE: 4wd FG Baja RTR Coming Soon

Did you guys see the FG 4WD Mini Cooper? That is sweet! I'm not a huge on-road fan but a rally car like MCD's is definitely a great addition to FG's lineup.

RE: air cleaner

If your engine uses a Walbro-brand carburator then it is highly likely that any of the air cleaners from HPI, FG, Duratrax, etc. will fit on the carb. The next problem will be clearance to support...

RE: How to adjust adjustable diff for FG?

According to a guy at HobbyThek the 8485 locking mechanism is very poorly designed and has a very non-linear slip adjustment. I run my 8485 fully locked down.

The best way to go with these diff...

RE: On-road body for DTX Firehammer?

There are many on-road bodies from FG. You may need to remove the rollcage for it to fit right. You will also have trouble with body mount posts. I'm not sure if width will be a problem.

To get...

RE: 1/5 scale new bright buggy questions

I have studied the New Bright buggy at Target. It looks pretty nice for $100 but there is NO source for replacement parts. Being an open wheel design and large scale it will be very easy to break...

RE: DO you like the new look of the DDM website

The site upgrade looks real nice. The slowdowns are most likely due to more use of Javascript to provide the pretty drop-down menus and that kind of stuff. Even if you don't use these elements it...

RE: revo 3.3 faster than TQ clone

Not surprising at all that your Revo could outrun a stock TQ. The TQ is probably capable of maybe 35 mph stock.

A stock Zenoah G260 with stock muffler is good for about 3 hp. I'm not sure what...

RE: Searching for a huge RC electric car

I saw a New Bright 1:5 scale buggy at Target for $150 USD. It was set up like my Duratrax Firehammer but obviously no where near the quality/durability.

It uses a single 7.2 volt NiCad battery...

RE: lipos in 1/5

I'm with Roger on this one, too. I run a 3000 mAH NiMH battery pack charged at 3.0 amps on a MRC SuperBrain charger. I get several tanks of runtime before needing to recharge.

Are you using a...
