I would email HobbyZone and tell them about your problem, even if you have crashed the plane. I had a similar issue, wrote to them, and they sent me a new plane.

IMHO if you are serious about the hobby you should get the Slow Stick (or another slow flyer) and the individual components. I built a SS and I'm a newbie, its not that hard and I learned some things...
