re: fuel tank ... I put the balsa in with a strip of foam between the balsa and the fuel tank to cushion it. Makes a nice snug fit.

Thanks for the offer of help, but my bad landings are purely due to happy thumbs. I bought the plane used, it was all set up, and it lands fine with more experienced hands at the controls....
