The rod seal is the bit where the rod comes out of the cylinder - there's a small O ring (which is the rod seal) which sometimes seems to wear when the gear is new and leads to leaks.

Is it Airtech gear? I had a problem with mine on my Shockwave leaking at the rod seals after a few flights so only leaked when the gear was down. New seals sorted it.

The Revoc bags are stitched at the leading edge and have a zip for the trailing edge - there's no velcro on the Ultra flash bags. They are tailored to fit and they've recently changed the material...
