    RE: savage vs aftershock

The most reliable Savage I ever had was the Savage Flux. That thing could take an unintentional beating and still stay running. With that said, I still prefer the Losi Aftershock MT to the Savage due...

    RE: savage vs aftershock

Losi Aftershock is the better truck overall. The Aftershock is easier to work on and can handle a track MUCH better than a Savage.

    RE: Hpi Blitz upgrade

I'd only run this if you have 3S packs lying around. Otherwise, if you have 2S packs already just get the 5700 setup. You won't be hurting for power even with "only" 2S packs.

    RE: Hpi Blitz upgrade

I went with the brushless setup the E Firestorm Flux comes with......which is just HPI's restickered version of the Castle Sidewinder 5700. Plenty of power (too much actually) for the Blitz. You will...

    RE: ****NEW TRAXXAS RC TRUCK****

It's all about the licensing and money. Traxxas has tons of money (obviously) and a marketing staff willing to take risks.

Most kids don't even know what Snake Bite or Jurassic Attack are. They...

    RE: ****NEW TRAXXAS RC TRUCK****

Say what you will, but I'm 35 and bought the Grave Digger and Monster Mutt replicas. Sure they are for the kids, but they are good enough for adults too. They are SWEET! They look real and perform...

    RE: Monster Jam replicas

Ok, so buy a regular XL5 Stampede. Then buy a set of Monster Jam tires/wheels and a body. The body will probably be $40-50 and a set of tires and wheels will probably be the same. You will be pretty...

    RE: Monster Jam replicas

They're made for little kids. Remember that. The Stampede is a very reliable (and simple) platform and will withstand just about anything a little kid could throw at them.

    RE: Monster Jam replicas

Yeah but Parma has let the license expire on all except the Grave Digger body. Try to find one of their Monster Jam bodies other than the Digger body.......just about impossible. I know because I...

    RE: Monster Jam replicas

That may be, but if you're a Monster Jam fan, these things are way cool....and way overdue. I plan on buying all 4 versions and then bash them with my wife and daughter.

    RE: Savage Flux HP

A lack of ground clearance and soft snow = very diminished forward motion. This is one reason why I don't "RC" outside during the winter.

Poll: RE: Savage flux or Savage xl?

As a ex-owner of a Savage Flux, I say go with it if you want speed and just nonsensical power. And be a man and run 3S batteries...save the 2S packs for the wannabes. lol

RE: THE Official HPI Savage Flux-HP Thread

Savage Flux-free here. Ebay'd mine a month ago and hopefully whomever bought it is having fun with it. Cool truck for sure and the best Savage ever made. Still can't figure out why HPI never offered...

    RE: Savage Flux in parallel?

On 6S, there's absolutely, postively no reason to run a pinion larger than the stock 20T. It's more than most can handle and more than the truck can handle really. If you haven't driven a Flux at WOT...

    RE: Savage Flux in parallel?

The MMM is made to run on 6S. Can't see why they would fry from 6S itself. I've been running my Flux on 6S since I pulled it out of the box well over a year ago-no problems.

Some people forget that 5th scale brings a big price tag all around.....from initial buy-in to replacment parts. If you want to play with the big boys, you need to bring the big dollas! lol

Poll: RE: Should i get a flux?

The beauty of Castle systems is that they are tunable...are those cheapo systems tunable?

I say go for the Flux RTR...and get the new HPI Flux XL chassis conversion kit. That'll make for one...
