RE: Wheelies

Your 2.5r will pull wheelies. Get it up to operating temp bu running a few passes. Lean out the HSN a tiny bit at a time until you get your wheelies. Helps to tighten down the slipper clutch also.

RE: Traxxas T-maxx Classic help

Since you're a newb, I recommend you get to know the rig as it is right now, providing everything works. Replace stuff as you break it ( and you will! ). As you get used to the truck, you will see...

RE: new engine for my T maxx

I have an oldmTM with a Picco .26 Blue Head. You will definitely want to upgrade all your driveshafts. Before you go dumping a bunch of $$ into your Maxx, take the time to break that Picco in...

RE: t maxx 2.5 to 3.3 upgrade help

Sheesh, you could really rack up quite a bill upgrading....I know firsthand, but I digress. Just the basics will be a good start- all your driveshafts to metal dogbones, RPM a-arms and shock towers,...

RE: Best pipe for the Picco .26 red dot?

I ran an Associated MGT pipe on my blue head Picco .26. Lots of torque but top speed was off a little bit.

RE: T Maxx to E Maxx conversion

I have done a ton of reading on the conversion. What I was asking for is feedback from those that have actually done the conversion. I have a New Era billet extended chassis I want to build on. Isn't...

RE: Help me make my GF happy! New engine and a new T-Maxx

Go with the Picco! I just so happen to have a Picco .26 Max (blue head) for sale. PM me. Yes, the Picco will fit with a stock 3.3 body- you may have to trim the hole a bit for clearance.

RE: t maxx pro .15 questions

Look up the Traxxas instructions for the motor and follow them to the letter. It will tell you the proper settings for the needle valves to get it started. I assume you have a good glow plug and...

RE: Is T-MAXX Delicate?

Yep. 68 mph. 23t CB, 64t spur, leaned out to the point of melting the head, but it did it. 2 runs opposite directions, Bonneville style. Tried to duplicate it, but didn't want to smoke my Picco....

RE: new picco max .26 problems

1. Go to Ofna's website and download the break in procedure.
2. Yes, the Picco motors are tight at break in
3. The original .26Max motors had problems with leaky front bearings, so that may...

RE: Out of the loop for a while

Yeah, they leak! I have to rebuild them often. I ordered a bunch of rebuild kits from 2coolrc before they folded, so I've got the seals and o-rings. That and copious amounts of Green Slime.

RE: Is T-MAXX Delicate?

I think the point we're missing here is that the is a LEARNING CURVE that must be taken into consideration here. If you are new to RC monster trucks, you will break stuff. Period. I got my first...

RE: Help please with my T-MAXX 2.5

Replace the plug, use fresh fuel and get a glow igniter. The EZStart wand is notorious for underpowering the glow plug.

RE: Help me decide

Believe me- even an E-Revo ain't no truck for in the house- you gotta give it plenty of room. Take it from a long-time nitro head- start out electric and upgrade to nitro after mastering your driving...

RE: 4 stroke t-maxx project

rcnitrohead: speed has everything to with RPM. With a centrifugal clutch, at some point below max RPM(wot) the clutch will lock up, therefore the RPM of the engine becomes part of the gear ratio. A...
