This is a complete, unbuilt, original version kit purchased 25 years ago. The original version had the landing gear attached to the wing. When I intended to start building it 10 years ago, I...

RE: Tiger 60 Build Thread

Wow, this thread just keeps on living. Since I've had numerous requests over the years for the original article (and now that the forum supports it), I'm attaching the scanned article for all to...

RE: Tiger 60 Build Thread

I'm not sure exactly what the dimensions were for the wing clip - I followed the "Old Al..." article to the letter.
I never found it on line - I had to track down the actual mag at the Milwaukee...

RE: Tiger 60 Build Thread

To put a conclusion to my Tiger 60 saga, yes I did finish it - sort of.
I had almost everything done except some final fuel proofing, minor radio install, and balance check. Then life and...

RE: Tiger 60 Build Thread

My first tail-dragger (and maiden flight to boot) was a Tiger 2. I found it easier to take off and land than my Avistar trainer was.
You're certainly wise to skip the retracts, but don't be so...

RE: Tiger 60 Build Thread

Wow, I can't believe this thread still has life after 2 1/2 years!
When I started it back in Nov. 2006, I had no intention of a build taking anywhere near that long. (My track record has been...

RE: Tiger 60 VS four star 60

You haven't missed it because it hasn't happened yet.
I'm very close to having it completed (still need to balance, fuel proof, final radio install)
but even at that, we're now in the throws of...

RE: Tiger 60 VS four star 60

THat looks a lot like a built-up cowl from scratch. I did one pretty similar on mine. You can see construction pics in my build thread starting here

RE: Tiger 60 Build Thread

LOL! Too Funny!

I hadn't thought about that, but it does have interesting possibilities.
I'm not sure you'd even need to lengthen the wing. I took one bay off each side in this build, so I...

I think I finally found one with the right skillz!!

RE: Sukhoi SU-26 MX build

That's awesome. What do you power that with and what did you use for the canopy, gear, and glass parts?

Yeah, I'm really interested in the 2-piece wing myself. Please keep us posted with the details and pictures of that operation.
