I don't have a data terminal for the turbine, just the three light system.

I don't think it is an rpm problem.
As I said as soon as you switch the unit on it goes into cool...

Just come back in from the garage after putting it all back together. Same fault as before straight into cool down, then after 3 spin ups the ready light came on so did start up procedure & blow me...

After a lay off from flying, just dusted off a couple of my jets ready for this season only to find a problem with one of the turbines.
Simjet 2300aes which on start up keeps going into cool down...

I've got two just itching to get airbourne. Need use of tarmac for them to work at their best.
Kept them incase I need an airframe for my small turbine.

The advantage of the By-pass is that all of the hot gases are contained in it so you don't get any inside the Fuz accept for convection.
Also you gain a Ram...

Don't use thebell &amp; trim a bit off the inlet to bring the turbine as far forward as possible.
Saves having to put too much weight up front.
