RE: The Official Traxxas Slash short-course race truck

Hello everyone. This is the first time I've ever posted on this forum. I just bought my son a slash 2wd for Christmas. This will be the first (non Wal-mart) truck he or I have ever had. The only...

Just wanted to make this one comment.....just because you are not currently an AMA member does not necessary make you an out of control nut. I'm sure there are people that enjoy this hobby in a very...

RE: Reason for not upgrading to 2.4

I've been using a RD8000 that hasn't failed me yet. I guess if they ever make it mandatory to switch then I will, until then I'll just keep on flying.

RE: Model airplanes might get parked

You're screwed!

I really think you need to start getting as much media attention as you can.

RE: Raptor 30 Wont Lift

The best advise is to seek the help of someone close to you with some experience. Don't get me wrong there is a WEALTH of knowledge here on this site, but we are only going off what you describe. A...

RE: Raptor 30 Wont Lift

Ok, most likely your tail rotor do not have enough of pitch to counteract the torque effect. Raptor blades spins clockwise which means the heli will naturally want to spin counter clockwise (yaw...

RE: Raptor 30 Wont Lift

Just throwing this out there. If you are 100% sure your pitch is set for 0 (low stick) 6 (mid stick) 12 (high stick) verified with pitch gauge, and you are NOT running to rich, you may want to check...

RE: Crashed my Titan

Just throwing this out there, but is it possible your batteries might of been a little low and not delivering enough juice to your collective servo?

RE: BLADE GYRO or TAIL MOTOR

I second what Flying G said about the tail motors. They go out all the time. I would suggest purchasing another tail motor (they're not too expensive) and spin it up. If that fixed your problem be...

RE: Suggested reading for RC Heli Newbies??

Not so much a book but a pretty good Mag is RCHeli. They have reviews, how to, reader feed backs, and up coming products. I subscribe to them and look forward to every issue.

RE: Blade CX2 Aluminum Rotor Heads

This is just my suggestion but I would go back to stock and leave it that way. If you have any desire to move on to larger birds then I would just put the money towards the next heli. Learn what you...

RE: Raptor 30 Tail Noise

Well I got the repairs complete. Tommorrow I will do a test hover here at the house before I go all the way to the field. Hopefully everything will be good to go. Your right though. If you rush a...

RE: Raptor 30 Tail Noise

Raptor 30 Tail Noise

I discovered the source of a clanking noise accompanied by the momentary stop of my tail rotor. I'm glad I found it on the ground and not in the air.

RE: Futaba vs. JR vs. Hitec vs. Multiplex Which do you use?

As of now I'm flying with an Airtronics RD8000. It works great, haven't had one glitch and it gets along well with the Futaba 401 and Servo combo. It didn't cost me an arm and a leg, and it feels...

RE: Airtronics RD8000 opinions

Not bashing anyone but I'm an Airtronics owner. I don't have any brand loyalty I just went with what I felt was a radio that can do the flying I wanted to do (helis and 3d later on) that also had the...

RE: Airtronics high-end demise?

At the end of the day if your radio is capable of performing everything that you require of it to fly your model then your good to go. If it didn't cost you an arm and a leg in the process then its...

RE: Airtronics high-end demise?

RD8000 has the Dual Rate and Expo for the Rudder in Heli mode, it's not in the airplane mode. Weather you can fly an airplane with a heli radio I do not know but. since I fly heli's the radio is fine...

RE: Airtronics high-end demise?

The thing that gets me is I see a lot of these threads like "Which radio to buy?" Now I understand that people use these forums for advice and input but I think some people should do a little more...

RE: Airtronics high-end demise?

This post is not meant to start any type of mud slinging or anything. I just think some of the radios out there are way over priced IMO. The technology itself is nothing new other then the DX6 with...
