RE: New Decathlons From Seagull 91 and 120 Size!

SkyPilot-

RE: Nitro Models Cessna 337 Skymaster (25 size)

Maybe I can help u out... I did mine with two dualsky 35-36 900 or so kv motors. Dualsky measures outside dimensions like many others do. The axi equivalent would be 28-14. The difference is that...

RE: Pilot RC Extra - DLE 30?

Have the 260 with DLE 30 and it's about 10 1/2 all up weight. I made no efforto to cut weight. Excellent quality. 30 has lots of power. Only flown twice, but happy so far.

RE: Nitro Models Cessna 337 Skymaster (25 size)

Don't have an exact measurement for you, but go back from leading edge of wing at the fuselage and it's about 1/3 of the way back where the leading edge sheeting stops (where wing tube sits). I...

RE: Nitro Models Cessna 337 Skymaster (25 size)

Looking good man. I like the solid wheel discs. Still flying mine (on electric). I would imagine that your weight is a bit higher than mine and with the additional wing loading it does come in...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

Very perceptive... I had used Gorilla Glue in the past on hinges, but this time I tried using the melted petroleum jelly and epoxy. I really liked that method. Good bond and virtually no mess at...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

Well, today was a success. Perfect day. About 50 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Got three flights in and no issues at all. CG was pretty much perfect as mentioned in manual. ZDZ 80RV seems...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

Thanks. I had seen on FG that you were looking for cowl pictures and I though maybe you'd check here as well. That was my ititial cutout and sand and mine has been refined a bit as well. One thing...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

Got mine ready to go... Nice quality. Overall, I'm still impressed as I was with my last AW plane. I found a nice fiberglass spinner for mine which I'll get drilled and cut soon. Aircraft was...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

Yeah, you're right. I guess I have no room to talk since I don't have anything in the air right now!! Once I do, we'll have to work on our tandem routine. I guess I should get off of my lazy rear...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

Hit of the field... ?? I wouldn't go that far. J/K, that thing is badazz. It has the best power to weight ratio of anything I think I've ever seen. I hope to get mine going soon. Equipment...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

10 cc's... Ha ha !! Couldn't resist. Seriously, though. The 85cc has a 4 inch longer wingspan at 98 inches (larger wing area), it uses one servo per aileron instead of two and it has a full...

RE: Aeroworks Customer Service

Well, picked up my 85cc Yak as mentioned in the other thread... I went to the warehouse in Denver and was literally blown away. Quality and customer service at AW is second to none. I showed up on...

RE: New 85cc Yak 54 QB

Hello all-

Picked up one of these during the great sale that AW was having during the holidays. In the process of moving out west and I'll be picking it up at the AW warehouse on the way out. ...

Aeroworks 50cc QB Mustang??

Look what I found... Saw it here on the net (MA News website) and in the latest copy of Fly RC in an Aeroworks ad. If it's anything like the other QB aircraft, count me in for sure.

RE: NEW Hangar 9 85cc SU-26MM Sukhoi

That kind of stinks. I was looking to retire my older WH Extra 260 and just slide all of my stuff over to a newer and lighter airframe... I had narrowed it down between the H9 Sukhoi and another. ...

RE: Nitro Models Cessna 337 Skymaster (25 size)

Two more flights today... All is well. The single elevator servo is working out fine. I may have mentioned it before, but it's a Hitec HS-65MG on 6 volts. Plenty of muscle (30.5 oz) for this...

RE: Nitro Models Cessna 337 Skymaster (25 size)

Got it in the air today !! All went well with the final assembly and the maiden. I'm attaching a few pics that are pretty self explanatory. For balancing, I ended up using a 5 cell 2100 battery...

RE: Nitro Models Cessna 337 Skymaster (25 size)

The booms are built up and fully sheeted. I used SIG glass and Polycrilic (just for finish. not for strength). I did treat the booms with Minwax sanding sealer first since balsa and water based...
