RE: Need some expert opinions please.

Hmmm... It seems as though there are some mixed feelings here.

If I replace just my wing parts that were crushed it will cost me about $32. The plywood parts will cost me about $36 (assuming I...

Need some expert opinions please.

I'm 6 to 7 years out of the hobby and just getting back into it. When I left, I had a Chipmunk that I had started to build. I have the stab/fin, rudder and elevators done. I had the right side...

RE: Battery cycler

Thanks... I have a field charger now but I'm annoyed with the fact that it only has alligator clips for a car battery. I would like a charger that I can use that will charge the batteries at home...

RE: Would my insurance cover a buddy box?

It is a MAAC sanctioned field but no one is ever around to ask this to. He's probably not going to be ready for a solo until next year anyway. He just did his first flight (well first circuit) last...

RE: Battery cycler

Okay... Thanks for the input. I'll buy something.

I just don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a cycler, but I know that it is good to fully discharge and re-charge every now and again.

RE: Need help with wing.

Yes but they are telling me that I have to buy each individual piece. I thought it might be easier to build a wing from the plans or maybe a foam core wing. I don't have the parts list handy for...

Need help with wing.

I started building a kit about 5 years ago. I got the wing, stabalizer and fin done. Well... The wing was almost done when my father in-law crushed it accidentally. Since then my plane has been on...

Would my insurance cover a buddy box?

I'm teaching my son how to fly. I'm wondering if I need to get him individual insurance as long as he is buddied to my box? I know for sure I would need to get him his own coverage when he flies...

RE: 11x5 or 11x6?

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm not too concerned with being overly underpowered and not being able to fly it. I'm concerned with being TOO underpowered where as soon as you pull back you stall.

RE: 11x5 or 11x6?

I wasn't sure about the AX, I was guessing on that. But it is definitely the .40 NOT the .46. I guess it would be an LA then.

I was just worried about under powering the plane as it is quite...

11x5 or 11x6?

I've got an OS .40 (AX I think) and I broke a prop today. I have a couple of extras around... Can an APC 11x5 or 11x6 go on this motor or is that too big?

RE: 12v 7.2Ah Lead Acid - Charging?

Thank you... If I test it right after charging (every 3 to 4 hours) won't the reading I get produce a false/surface charge indicating that it will have a higher charge than it actually does?
