  1. Typhoon 2 3D Coupling/Balance issues

Finally got my Typhoon together and up in the air, and I was wondering if I could get some input on how I might improve my setup.

I've noticed that it's very unstable when hovering, especially...

    RE: Help setting up DX6i

I'm pretty sure it's due to the control horn being a little bit off, but the adjustment system on the typhoon isn't exactly precise. I thought there might be a way to correct it with the radio alone.

    RE: Help setting up DX6i

OK stuff finally seems to be alright. Horizon sent me a replacement servo and it's in and working as it should. I just want to get this plane off the ground.

I have a couple more questions...

    RE: Help setting up DX6i

Well after messing around with it some more and trying pretty much everything I could think of, I'm pretty sure I have a dead servo. I tried swapping the plugs on my receiver to see if I could get...

    RE: Help setting up DX6i

OK, my problem was that the plugs were in backwards...kind of makes me feel stupid >_>

Anyway, I have another problem now. My dual aileron servos aren't really working at all. At first they...

    Help setting up DX6i

Well I'm not really new to flying, but I am new to actually setting planes up.

After two months of screwing with Horizon, I finally have a halfway decent Typhoon 2 3d. I put the thing...

RE: Newbie with a Typhoon 2

Called horizon and they apparently expect me to pay to ship this piece of crap back to them. Is this supposed to be good customer service? I don't think I'm ever going to do business with horizon...

RE: Newbie with a Typhoon 2

Ugh, alright then I'll make a couple phone calls. I just wanted to be able to fly the damn thing, but I'm not going to fly something with an unsound airframe.

Ever since I got into this hobby...

RE: Newbie with a Typhoon 2

So if I return it it'll be more of the same, basically? :/ Do you think I should worry about the bent tail or will it not affect flight performance?

RE: Newbie with a Typhoon 2

OK so I just got and assembled my Typhoon 2 and I am more than a little disgusted. This thing looks like a piece of s***. The wings are dirty, the sticker applications are horrible (there's even a...

    Newbie with a Typhoon 2

Alright so I just got my first 3D setup as a christmas gift. Typhoon 2 PNP with a DX6i. Technically waiting for the Typhoon to come in but I have the RX and was flipping through the manual a bit.

  12. RE: Opinions on Beginning 3D planes from Tower

Hah, the Yak 54 is actually one of my favorite models in G4, it does pretty much anything I want it to without giving me any trouble at all. I was afraid of getting too used to it as i was under the...
  13. RE: Opinions on Beginning 3D planes from Tower

Well I don't really have a problem with profiles, but I had full fuse models in mind for the sake of this thread.

Honestly, I am more into the foam electrics for profiles. I completely...
  14. RE: Opinions on Beginning 3D planes from Tower

I've kind of been wondering the same thing. I've been spending a lot of time in RealFlight G4 with various models, seeing how they fly (I'm only assuming G4 is an accurate base of reference, as it's...
