RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Ireally like the 10 channel, so much more capable than the RDS-8000. Very easy to program and Ireally like the feel of it while flying. Ibought the Phoenix sim so I'd have something to do with the...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Iwas using the gear from the GP Extra on mine, destroyed it on the hard landing Ihad. Now Ihave the stock gear on it, and it seems to bow out more after every landing. Ishould probably just order...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Before the mod, I needed a lot of down trim, and it seemed to be a real handful. I just couldn't get it dialed in. After the mod, the elevator trim was about neutral and it flew smoothly. Of course,...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

The Seabee maiden went well. No bad tendencies, a little left, a little up on the trims. The YS pulls it great. A couple trips around the pattern and a smooth landing. The engine got rough taxiing...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

This is what mine looks like. Note the angle of the arms is similar, and the location of the servo arm holeis similar.

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Oops, Iforgot, I enlarged the hole for the lower servo to lower it's height 1/4 inch. This allowed me to get the correct angle on both arms.

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Put the servo arms on the front, away from the rudder, it will decrease the angle some. Youwant to get the geometry of the arms as close to equal as possible. The more they are different, the less...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

I'm going to maiden mine today. It's the first day the wind has been manageable in quite a while. Temps below freezing, but doable. The Magnum 91 4 stroke should fly it fine, no?

Igot a Magnum 91 4 stroke for Christmas, I'm going to use it instead of the ST 90. Wish now Ihadn't cut the cowl to fit that huge muffler in....

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

I'm just about finished assembling mine. I'm using a ST 90 in the standard mount. How do you rig the throttle servo? The fuel tank is in the way. Any pics?
