RE: 'Kitbashing' a J3 into an L4

Wow, all those pictures look awesome. Thanks for the tips! I understand now why the GP kit wont work, and am willing to go with a smaller size, I just want to get a decent scale looking L-4. So it...

RE: GP Electric Power Pod

RE: any recomendations

If you don't mind building a kit, you could get what I started out with, a Dynaflite Daydream. It is a very simple build. It is not powered on its own, but I am experimenting with a great planes...

RE: Balancing a folding prop....

But I thought that out of balance props would damage your motor/engine? Every place that I have found which talks about setting up a propeller aircraft says that balacing the prop is required, not...

Balancing a folding prop....

How does one do this? I don't have the prop in front of me yet, so this may be easy once I have looked it over.

This is the prop in question:

RE: GP Electric Power Pod

Well, the motor that comes with the pod is a GP Thrustmaster 550, not sure how strong that is exactly, but the GP website says it works with a 2m plane.

I went and ordered a speed control and a...

RE: Seriously now, can it take off or not? What do you think?

why should they ever rotate? the belt matches the speed.. they move at 0 rpm.. the belt moves to match that 0 rpm.
