    RE: Black Horse Models

    Thanks for the reply.

I got an email from Hobby People the other day with a super price for the BH p-47. When I went to look at it this morning it was showing out of stock! Not much of a...

    Black Horse Models

I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Black Horse brand of arfs. They seem to have the reputation of being well built, light, and fly well but closer to stand off scale and I hear the...
  4. Have Quadra 35. Need warbird for it.

What do you guys think about a Quadra 35 in one of the 70ish size ESM warbirds? Or maybe a 80 size VAL?

    Thanks

    RE: Midwest Texan Restoration

Mine flew with the Quadra 35 but at 22 lbs. it did not fly well. After 2 flights, I decided to retire it while it was still in good shape. I believe mine was so overweight because of multiple...

Does anyone know of a laser cutter that cuts kits for the 80ish size RCM plans Bowers Flybaby? I have the plans and wanted to save some time by having the parts cut for me.

    RE: RCM 84

    Russmall,

It was the pix of your airplane that inspired me to order the plans. Right now I am in the middle of building an enlarged Ugly Stick. I downloaded the plans for it off the internet...

    RE: RCM 84

    Pete,

It took about 3 weeks and then they notified me by email that the plans had shipped. After that it took about 4-5 days. Give them a little more time I would say.

    RCM 84" Flybaby

I just bought the RCM plans by Chuck Cunningham for the 84" Bowers Fly Baby and have been searching in vain for a build thread. The plans came with a copy of the article in RCM but no pictures. I...

RE: 25cc 2 bolt Weed Eater

I have heard a lot of people talk about doing port work but have never actually seen a thread on how to do it. I would like to see someone do a thread on porting without a machine shop and show us...

  13. RE: metric sized plugs converted to standard size.

Thanks guys. I already have a RCEXL on the larger Champion plug with the gasket although I have it mounted in an airplane where I can not see the numbers on it. So I guess that means that they do...
  14. RE: metric sized plugs converted to standard size.

Yes I see. The tapered seat 5/8 plug fits my Ryobi and the 3/4 plug with the gasket fits my Poulan. But they have different spark plug caps. So which ignition goes to which plug? That is really...
  15. metric sized plugs converted to standard size.

From what I can find, all of the RCEXL ignitions specs are in NGK or metric. I am used to using standard size in my conversions. What size is 19mm, 14mm, and 1/4 32. I am used to using Champion...

    RE: Ryobi Conversion Questions

I could not tell you for sure as the plane had been repaired a few times before I got it but the firewall appears to be in the stock position. The servo for the throttle is right behind the...

RE: 25cc 2 bolt Weed Eater

I had one flying a Dynaflite SE5a. It was on electronic ignition and had a larger WT-324 carb. Ran great. Was very reliable. No other mods. Used the original piston ring which is pinned on this...

    RE: Ryobi Conversion Questions

I fly a low power Ryobi on a 4 star 120 using a MAS 18 x 10 and rcexl ignition. Runs great and is perfect power for the airplane. Granted this airplane has been around a long time and is heavy for...

    RE: Brian Taylor P-40

I have a Top Flite FW190 that I am building and plan to use a RCCG 20cc rear carb for it as well. I also have this plan set back to build later. Looks like it would be another great candidate for...
