RE: Balsa USA Nieuport 28 C-1 Build

Maidened my BUSA 28 this week (finally) after watching this and several other threads. Almost perfect with no issues. Very gentle flyer and looks great in the air. Based on multiple recommendations,...

RE: Best engine for a Patriot XL?

Went through this decision process a couple of years ago when I built my Patriot XL. The trick engine for this model is clearly the Jett .91. I've used Jett engines before and highly recommend them....

RE: JR 791 low profile servo issue

Either a voltage regulator, or run a separate 4.8V battery for just the retract servo(s). That's what I'm doing in my H9 150 size P-51. I'm using a 2-cell A123 for my flight pack, and I too quickly...

RE: Saito 182 twin ignition problems

This subject is in another current forum under glow engines:

My opinion, as I posted there, is that a glow driver is good insurance for this...

RE: Saito 182 Idle's on One Cylinder ?!

I have the Saito 182 twin, and use it on two different models. A Balsa USA Nieuport 28 and a Hangar 9 Cessna 182. Flew the Nieuport today in fact. Starts and runs well in both planes. I agree with...

RE: New Hangar 9 1.50 P-51 Build

Hello Kiosk. Not sure about the limitation you describe. With the program mix 3 I described (Flap to Aux4), all functions are available for the R flap (sub trim, end points, reversing, etc.) under...

RE: Intermittent range problem with Airtronics Stylus / PCM / Flair Tiger Moth

Interesting this thread re-appears after several years! After trying everything I could think of, and not having a reliable fix, I sold the Tiger Moth. It was a beautiful model, but not fun to fly...

RE: New Hangar 9 1.50 P-51 Build

Hello Pale_aileron. I'm using the exact set-up as you JR 9303 2.4 and Spektrum 9000 receiver. I don't have mine ready to fly yet, but I have the radio program completed on the bench. As others have...

RE: OS FS 110-a

togatoga:
I assume your post is in reference to the OS FS 110-a? I know that's the title of the thread, but several other engines have been referenced... I agree 16x8 could be on the high side for...

RE: OS FS 110-a

I bought one this winter. It's mounted right now in a Great Planes quarter scale RV-4 ARF. I'm not going to take the plane apart to weigh it, but I remember weighing when I received it, and the...

RE: Fokker Eindecker Crash Video

Yes, that's clearly an SR Eindecker. Don't be too hard on the guy. I built one too. Came in exactly at the required weight, powered with the recommended Zenoah G-26. If there had been a video of my...

RE: Confused on paints

I've used Dupont clear, and I can almost guarantee it will bubble the Rustoleum. As was suggested, make test panels or use a plane you don't care about first. Also use the exact color(s) of Rustoleum...
