Mike, I always set the valves to the minimum. You want them as tight as the feeler gauge will let you. You do not want contact when they are supposed to be seperated, just tight.

I did not reinforce mine, but the idea has merit. It's a white foam core fudelage, sheeted in balsa. I'm sure you could get some carbon in there somehow, but I never worried about it.

I've had a Rossi 53 and a Rossi 45. Both are good on lower Nitro. About 10% is the max, and 5% would likely be better.

#1 Low Nitro.
