Hmm... that makes sense... we'll be in the republic, not Northern Ireland. We plan on a week near Dublin and a week near Shannon, but we'll have a car and the country is small enough that most places...

There is one definte advantage to using a spinner... when the prop is kicked loose because your prop nut wasn't quite tight enough, the spinner will make it easier to find the propwasher and prop...

I don't doubt that it did. My previous post wasn't terribly clear. let me try again. The addition of methanol/methyl hydrate to ethanol is only one way to denature it.

The two "standard" first-time low airplanes that you'll probably hear kicked about most often are the Sig Four Star or the Golberg Tiger/Tiger 2.

The Eagle 2 was my first trainer... still have it. Flies just fine and is a good choice a first airplane... plus it being a little smaller and lighter than say an LT40 means it doesn't need...
